Brittany Jordan

To help promote her platform, Brittany has joined forces with the Columbus Literacy Council to change the lives of Central Ohioans one word at a time.  Brittany is currently attending training classes and will become a Basic Literacy Tutor through the CLC Tutor Institute.  She will help adults learn the skills to live independently in a world filled with print.  For more information on how you can become a volunteer with the Columbus Literacy Council, please visit www.columbusliteracy.org.

Brittany, along with volunteers from her church hosted a one week summer enrichment program for Native American children in Show Low, Arizona, on the campus of the American Indian Christian Mission boarding school.  The children were brought in from the reservations to enjoy Bible lessons, crafts, sports, and lots of swimming.  Through this program, children from both the Apache and Navajo Nations were reached with the gospel of Christ. To make donations or for more information on this mission please visit www.aicm.org.  American Indian Christian Mission (AICM)

Agua Prieta Mexico Missions  Brittany also participated in a mission trip to Agua Prieta, Mexico to visit the orphanage "Casa Pepito" which is operated by the Mexico governmental agency D.I.F.  Brittany and her group spent quality time with the children by playing soccer in the streets and distributing school supplies and treats. While in Mexico, the volunteers also built a house, provided dental/medical needs for the poor, and made renovations to a local church.
